How are Skyline Hunting Blinds considered scent free?
We use quality materials and handcraft it to your specifications. Our blinds are encapsulated with insulation from the floor, ceiling, walls, windows and even the door. We have no ventilation holes to allow your scent to leak out from within. The only time scent will leave the blind is when you leave your location or open a window for a shot.
Can I shoot a compound bow out of both size windows?
Yes, with the 36"Wx24"L windows you have no problem shooting a compound bow out while standing. The 36"Wx36"L windows are designed for the compound hunter to shoot while sitting. Depending upon the chair you choose for you blind will also determine if you need to stand or not with the 36"Wx24"L windows.
Can I run a heater inside your blind?
You cannot run a gas heater inside the blind as there are no ventilation holes. You can however, run an electric heater.
Do your windows fog like other blinds?
Since our blinds are fully insulated one does not need to dress as warm. If you overdress or have multiple people inside on a warmer day, it will fog. When it is colder out, fogging is less likely to occur. If you use an electric heater there will be no window fog in our Skyline Blind design.
What are the dimensions of your window openings for a shot?
Our windows are insulated and dual sliding. When one side is completely open your width is 15-1/2" and your height varies between these two dimensions; our Skyline Select window is 21-1/2" or our Skyline Dual Threat is 33-1/2".
Can I select exactly where I want the windows to be for my stand location?
Yes, if you need your Select or Dual Threat windows at certain heights or locations around the blind, we can build it to your specification. Give us a call or email us today to setup a showing.
Are your windows tinted?
Yes, they are tinted to achieve ultimate concealment from your targeted harvest.
Can I choose the color of the carpet that I want inside the blind?
Yes, there is a few options that we can go with. We recommend a dark brown, dark green, or black.
What is the lead time from payment date to receiving my blind?
We do not mass-produce blinds and carry limited inventory. We make a finite amount every year, as we take pride in the blinds we build. We are 100% custom as this isn't your stereotypical hunting blind retailer. With that said, lead time from order date is typically 4 to 8 weeks depending upon the season. We shut down operation in September, as like yourself, we are spending time in the outdoors and harvesting our crops. You can still place an order though and go into our queue, where production will begin again in January. If you have any questions on lead time, just give us a call or send us an email as we will be happy to help.
Can Skyline Hunting Blinds be elevated onto a platform?
Yes, they can be elevated as represented by our gallery photos. You are responsible for checking weight ratings and securing the blind to the platform.
How much do Skyline Hunting Blinds weigh?
The average weight is between 650 and 750 pounds as it depends upon which window sizes are selected.
You call your blinds out as Ready-To-Set, what does that mean?
Our blinds are mounted onto 4"x4"x6' green treated runners. This allows you to mount it to a platform or be set at your desired location as a ground blind.
Do you deliver? If so, how much does that cost?
We offer free delivery within 60 miles of Red Wing, MN. If you require your blind(s) to be delivered outside of our radius, please contact us for a quote and we would be happy to assist.
Do I need any special equipment onsite upon delivery?
Yes, a skid steer or tractor is needed with pallet forks so it can be removed from the trailer.
How do you match the blinds paint design to my landscape?
We require you to email us at minimum 4 images. We like to see the full landscape, close up by the blind and at a distance so we can incorporate your surroundings for ultimate concealment. If you know what your area looks like throughout the various hunting seasons, by all means, let us know within the email. We also offer a discount of $500 per blind if you would like to paint your own blind to your location landscape.
